About Us

A little background...

In October of 2005, twenty-nine local veterinary professionals organized Central Carroll Animal Emergency to fulfill a need for high quality, trustworthy, after-hours care for their patients.  They proudly opened the doors in September 2006.  During the pandemic, like many businesses, CCAE felt the enormous, negative impact on staffing. To continue the mission of providing emergency and urgent veterinary care to Carroll County and the surrounding areas, the practice manager Shannon Panzer, Lindsay Vanous, DVM and Maurene Sutton, DVM formed Vetchix, LLC and purchased CCAE in May 2022. CCAE is a veteran owned and operated business.

Our Misson

To provide high quality emergency veterinary care.  To that end, our hospital’s team is made up of skilled and compassionate professionals who practice innovative medicine, provide comprehensive nursing care, and are dedicated to serving the community that entrusts us with their pets' health care needs.

Our Vision

To be a progressive, team-oriented, emergency hospital that sets a standard for high quality, compassionate care and exceeds the expectations of our clients and referring veterinarians.

We primarily care for cats & dogs...
