A little background...
In October of 2005, local veterinarians met to discuss common concerns in their industry. One concern that emerged was the future availability of emergency veterinary services in the area. Individually the veterinarians were not interested in opening an emergency facility. However, the sale of the Westminster 24 Hour Veterinary Trauma Center property to McDaniel College made the veterinarians question the impact it may have on their clients and their pets. As a result, 29 local veterinary professionals organized Central Carroll Animal Emergency, LLC (CCAE) to fulfill a need for high quality, trustworthy, after hours care for their patients. We proudly opened this community-owned emergency veterinary facility in September 2006.

To that end, our hospital’s team is made up of skilled and compassionate professionals who practice innovative medicine, provide comprehensive nursing care, and are dedicated to serving the community that entrusts us with their pet’s health care needs.
