All patients will be evaluated upon arrival by medical staff

Triage- what is an emergency

Most Critical patients

  1. Difficulty breathing
  2. Poisoning
  3. Collapse
  4. Heat stroke
  5. Hypothermia
  6. Bloat (GDV)
  7. Actively seizing
  8. Major trauma (hit by car, animal attack)
  9. Penetrating bite wounds around the neck
  10. Choking
  11. Excessive bleeding
  12. Unable to urinate
  13. Allergic reactions

Less critical patients

  1. Frequent vomiting
  2. Bloody diarrhea
  3. Paralysis
  4. Closed fractures
  5. Blood in urine
  6. Birthing difficulties
  7. can urinate but is straining

Non-life threatening

  1. Abcesses
  2. Minor wounds/lacerations
  3. Sneezing/nasal discharge
  4. Stable chronic disease
  5. Limping
  6. Skin conditions
  7. Sore eyes or ears
